How are GDPR and ransomware attacks related?

Rik Ferguson, VP cyber security research at Trend Micro, explains how GDPR means that organisations need to take ransomware even more seriously.

With GDPR there will be an obligation to report data breaches. As a result we are likely to get, quite quickly, a better picture of the number of cyber security incidents that happen because at present these are under reported.
