Half of SMEs were attacked by hackers this year

All companies, including SMEs, should consider cyber security

The Small Business Cyber Risk Report [PDF] from insurance firm Hiscox found that 47 per cent of small businesses surveyed in the US, UK, and Europe, had suffered at least one cyber attack during the past 12 months. But according to Ponemon Institute’s 2017 State of Cybersecurity in Small & Medium-sized Businesses survey, 54 per cent of respondents indicated that employee negligence was to blame.
