Kristinn Hrafnsson is new WikiLeaks editor-in-chief

Julian Assange, founder of WikiLeaks gives over his job as editor-in-chief to Kristinn Hrafnsson under “extraordinary circumstances”.

According to The Hacker News Assange, who has been living in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London since 2012, was eventually cut off the Internet and any other form of communication with the outside world in late March this year. As this prevented him from doing his job as editor-in-chief he finally stepped down and will be replaced by former WikiLeaks spokesperson Kristinn Hrafnsson.
